Mallinckrodt appoints Leslie Donato to board of directors

Mallinckrodt plc announced the appointment of Leslie Donato to its board of directors, completing a nine-member board composition. The appointment follows the company's completion of its merger with Endo, Inc. on August 1, 2025.

Donato previously served as executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Cencora, Inc., a pharmaceutical solutions organization. During her tenure at Cencora, she oversaw more than $10 billion in capital commitments and contributed to a 130% increase in the company's market capitalization over five years, according to the press release.

The new board structure includes four members from each of the legacy companies, with Donato selected jointly by the board members. "Her wealth of experience in the healthcare industry will inform the board's strategic discussions and provide valuable insight for setting the direction of the company," said Board Chair Paul Efron.

Donato's healthcare career spans more than 30 years. Before joining Cencora in 2019, she spent 10 years at Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, where she led various businesses and served as head of strategy. Prior to Bayer, she worked as a partner at McKinsey & Company for 14 years, leading the firm's Pharmaceutical & Medical Products Marketing & Sales Practice.

She currently serves on the boards of Virtua Health System in New Jersey and COPILOT, a Florida-based patient access solutions company. Donato holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Public Policy from Swarthmore College and an MBA in Finance and Healthcare Management from The Wharton School.

Mallinckrodt operates through two business segments: a Brands business focused on autoimmune and rare diseases, and Par Health, which includes generic drugs, sterile injectables, and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
