Lightwave Logic appoints Dr. Sundar Ramamurthy to advisory board

Lightwave Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ: LWLG) announced the appointment of Dr. Sundar Ramamurthy to its Technical Advisory Board. The company develops electro-optic polymer materials for high-speed data transmission applications.



Dr. Ramamurthy brings over 30 years of experience in materials science and semiconductor technology. He previously worked at Applied Materials, where he led businesses in transistor and interconnect verticals including epitaxy, specialty semiconductors, and advanced packaging. During his tenure, he managed operations that generated billions in revenue across semiconductor equipment markets.



The appointment comes as Lightwave Logic continues developing its polymer platform for commercial applications. The company's electro-optic polymers are designed for photonic devices used in telecommunications, data centers, and artificial intelligence infrastructure.



Dr. Ramamurthy holds a doctoral degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota and has been granted more than 30 U.S. patents related to semiconductor technology. He currently advises investment companies and research institutes on emerging technologies and serves on advisory boards for startup companies.



Lightwave Logic's Technical Advisory Board provides strategic planning and industry insights to company management. The board includes expertise in laser and photonic integrated circuit device design, fabrication operations, manufacturing scaling, foundry transfer, and AI datacenter hardware and networking.
