Hercules Metals Corp. (TSXV: BIG) (OTCQB: BADEF) (FSE: C0X) appointed Matthieu Bos as chairman of the board, effective immediately, according to a company statement. Bos succeeds Peter Simeon, who remains as a director.

Bos brings more than 15 years of mining industry experience, including eight years with Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., where he served as Executive Vice President, Africa. At Ivanhoe, he participated in advancing the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and securing $3 billion in equity and debt financing.

Before joining Ivanhoe, Bos worked in the metals and mining investment banking team at BMO Capital Markets in London, advising mining companies on financings and strategic transactions. He previously served as a non-executive director of Elemental Altus Royalties Corp. and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Energy Materials plc.

Bos holds a master's degree in resource engineering and a bachelor's degree in applied earth sciences from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.

The company granted Bos 1 million incentive stock options with an exercise price of $0.60 per share. The options vest in four equal tranches every six months over 24 months and are exercisable for five years.

"Matthieu's appointment as Chairman significantly strengthens Hercules' board at a critical stage in the Company's evolution," said Chris Paul, Chief Executive Officer and Director.

Hercules Metals focuses on developing copper exploration projects in Idaho, including the Leviathan porphyry copper system at its Hercules Project northwest of Cambridge.
