Hemostemix appoints Shaune Harding as director of patient care

Hemostemix Inc. (TSXV: HEM) (OTCQB: HMTXF) (FSE: 2VF0) announced the appointment of Shaune Harding, OStJ, RN non-practicing, as Director of Patient Care & Clinical Operations. The Calgary-based stem cell therapeutics company said Harding will oversee patient onboarding, medical records management, and continuous monitoring of patients in treatment programs.

In her role, Harding will manage comprehensive medical records review and HIPAA-compliant transfer of patient records to treating physicians. She will also oversee patient health-journey mapping from initial assessment through treatment and multi-year follow-up periods.

The position includes responsibility for continuous patient data monitoring through approved wearable devices such as Fitbit Sense 2, which will track heart rate, activity, exercise, and sleep metrics. Harding will conduct monthly follow-up meetings with patients and monitor adverse events with real-time tracking and escalation protocols to treating physicians.

Harding brings more than 30 years of clinical and management experience to the role. She will support Hemostemix's patient care operations in The Bahamas, Florida, and Canada for patients treated with the company's VesCell therapy.

The company said the appointment strengthens its patient-centric healthcare model and ensures continuity of care for patients receiving VesCell treatment. The patient data capture will support regulatory approval efforts for the company's ACP-01 therapy.

Hemostemix develops autologous stem cell therapies for ischemic diseases and has completed seven clinical studies involving 318 subjects, according to the company's statement.
