Flexsteel adds Trex tech executive to its board of directors

Flexsteel Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLXS) has appointed Dr. Anand Kangala as an independent director, effective September 10, 2026, according to a company press release. He will also serve on the board's Audit & Ethics Committee.

Dr. Kangala currently serves as Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Trex Company, Inc., a position he has held since 2024. In that role, he has led enterprise transformation efforts focused on digital, technology, and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Before joining Trex, Dr. Kangala held senior technology and digital transformation roles at The Home Depot, Edward Jones, Carter's, Cato Corporation, and Lowe's Companies.

Jeanne McGovern, Chair of the Flexsteel board, said Dr. Kangala "brings deep experience leading digital transformation, enterprise technology modernization and AI-enabled business improvement in consumer-facing businesses."

Derek Schmidt, President and CEO of Flexsteel, said Dr. Kangala "has demonstrated the ability to connect technology strategy with measurable operating and financial outcomes."

Flexsteel is a Dubuque, Iowa-based residential furniture manufacturer, importer, and marketer.
