Evolution Metals names retired Air Force general to its board

Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: EMAT) has appointed retired U.S. Air Force General Thomas A. Bussiere to its board of directors, the company said in a statement.

Bussiere served as a four-star general and commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, where he oversaw more than 33,000 personnel, nuclear command and control operations, and multi-billion-dollar modernization programs. He also served as deputy commander of U.S. Strategic Command.

Bussiere has been appointed to the company's Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. In a related board change, Saul Locker has been named chairman of the Audit Committee, and Thomas Stoddard has resigned from the board and its committees.

David Wilcox, executive chairman of Evolution Metals & Technologies, cited Bussiere's background in defense supply chains and enterprise risk management. Bussiere stated that the resilience of critical materials supply chains "has become increasingly important to both economic and national security."

Bussiere holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Norwich University and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is also a command pilot with more than 3,400 flight hours in aircraft including the F-22 Raptor and B-2A Spirit.

Evolution Metals & Technologies describes itself as a U.S.-based critical materials and advanced manufacturing company focused on rare earth permanent magnets, battery materials, and related critical minerals.
