Don Hawk joins Life Science Connect board of directors

Life Science Connect appointed Don Hawk to its board of directors, the Pittsburgh-based company announced. Life Science Connect is a portfolio company of Latticework Capital Management and Edgehill Management.



The company operates digital communities and events for life sciences professionals, connecting industry participants across research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization.



Hawk co-founded TechTarget in 1999 and served as president for 26 years before becoming executive director of product innovation. TechTarget became a publicly traded company focused on connecting technology companies with buyers and decision makers. He currently serves on the board of Informa TechTarget (NASDAQ: TTGT), which operates over 200 technology-focused online properties, employs nearly 2,000 people, and serves over 7,500 customers. He also serves on the board of Farm Journal Media.



The appointment comes as Life Science Connect expands its data and analytics capabilities to meet demand for marketing solutions with measurable insights. The company plans to develop analytical and lead activation services.

Jon Howland, CEO of Life Science Connect, said Hawk's experience building data-driven media platforms will provide perspective as the company strengthens connections across the life sciences industry.



Life Science Connect continues to evaluate acquisition and growth opportunities to expand its capabilities and reach in the life sciences sector, according to the press release.
