Divcon adds data center veteran Tom Ray to its board

Divcon LLC, a Dallas-based provider of building management and electrical power monitoring systems for data centers, has appointed Tom Ray as an independent member of its Board of Directors, according to a company statement.



Ray brings more than four decades of experience in the data center, real estate, and software sectors. He previously served as Chairman, CEO, and co-founder of EdgeCore Data Centers and as CEO and founder of CoreSite Realty Corporation. He was also recently appointed as an independent board member of QScale, a Canadian data center operator acquired by Infrastructure at Goldman Sachs Alternatives.



Ray is also co-founder of Quannah Partners, a middle-market real estate private equity firm, and founder of Buckhorn Capital Group, a family investment office. Earlier in his career, he spent 11 years at The Carlyle Group as a Managing Director overseeing data center investments.



Ray joins former Microsoft executive Nana Bule as one of two independent directors on Divcon's board. Other board members include CEO and Chairman Marc Shiffman, Goldman Sachs Alternatives representatives Jeff Possick and Erin Dunn-Franklin, and Divcon co-founders John Palacios and Ben Crowell. Divcon has been a portfolio company of Goldman Sachs Alternatives (NYSE: GS) since 2024.



Divcon's systems currently manage more than nine million square feet of data center space. Since 2020, the company has supported more than 100 data center installations representing over three gigawatts of mission-critical load.
