Coincheck Group executive chairperson Oyagi resigns effective Sept. 17

Coincheck Group N.V. (NASDAQ: CNCK) announced that Takashi Oyagi has resigned as Executive Director and Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors, effective September 17, 2026.

As a result of the resignation, Oyagi will not stand for re-election at the company's annual general meeting scheduled for September 25, 2026, and the related agenda item will be removed from the shareholder vote.

The Board of Directors appointed Satoshi Hasuo, the company's Chief Stakeholder Officer, as temporary replacement executive director. Pascal St-Jean, who serves as CEO and President, will assume the role of Executive Chairperson in addition to his existing duties.

Oki Matsumoto, Lead Non-Executive Director, said: "On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank Takashi for his invaluable contributions to Coincheck Group. Takashi's leadership has been instrumental in driving meaningful transformation across the company and its subsidiaries, and we are deeply grateful. I am confident that Pascal and Satoshi will ensure a smooth transition."

The announcement was made in a press release issued by the Amsterdam-based company.
