Cipher Mining appoints Thomas Duda to board of directors

Cipher Mining Inc. (NASDAQ: CIFR) announced the appointment of Thomas Duda to its board of directors. The company, which develops and operates industrial-scale data centers, stated the appointment supports its transformation into a data center development and operations company.

Duda brings more than 20 years of real estate-focused investment experience to the role. He currently serves as Vice President of Real Estate at Henry Crown and Company, where he leads real estate investment and asset management activities and sits on the Investment and Management Committee.

Previously, Duda held senior positions at Hunt Companies, Inc., focusing on commercial real estate and infrastructure investments, and served as Managing Director of Investments at One William Street Capital Management.

"Tom's top tier commercial real estate expertise will be a significant benefit as we continue transforming Cipher into a leading infrastructure development company," said Tyler Page, Chief Executive Officer, according to the company's statement.

Cipher focuses on developing and operating industrial-scale data centers for bitcoin mining and high-performance computing hosting. The company stated it aims to be a market leader in bitcoin mining growth, data center construction, and as a hosting partner to large HPC companies.
