Carpenter Technology adds ex-Howmet CFO to its board

Carpenter Technology Corporation (NYSE: CRS) announced that Ken Giacobbe has been appointed to its Board of Directors, effective Aug. 11, 2026.
Giacobbe most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Howmet Aerospace Inc. Before that, he held the CFO role at Arconic Inc. and served in senior finance positions at Alcoa Corporation, Avaya, and Lucent Technologies. He holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
The company also disclosed two departures from its board. Howard Yu notified the board of his intention to step down as a director effective Oct. 6, 2026, the date of the company's Annual Stockholders' Meeting. Colleen Pritchett informed the board she would not stand for re-election at the 2026 Annual Stockholders' Meeting. The company stated that neither decision was due to any disagreement with the company or its management.
With Giacobbe's appointment, the board currently consists of 12 members, 11 of whom are independent directors. Following the departures of Yu and Pritchett on Oct. 6, 2026, the board will consist of 10 members, 9 of whom will be independent directors.
