CIBL adds Gary Sugarman to board of directors

CIBL, Inc. (OTC Pink: CIBY) announced that Gary L. Sugarman has been elected as a director of the company.

Sugarman currently serves as a director of LICT Corporation, a publicly traded telecommunications company. He was principal of Richfield Associates FL, Inc., a private equity fund he founded in 1993 that focused on telecom and technology until December 2023.

From April 2021 through April 2023, Sugarman worked as an advisor for Morrison and Co., an infrastructure fund based in New Zealand. In April 2023, he joined the board of Fiberlight Inc, an enterprise fiber company based in Dallas, and the board of MachTen, Inc. (MACT), a publicly traded company spun off from LICT in 2023.

Sugarman previously served as a director of Telephone and Data Systems, Inc., a public telecommunications company, from September 2009 until January 2022. He was on the board of Otelco (OTEL), a publicly traded telecommunications operating company, from 2013 until May 2020. Otelco was acquired and taken private in 2021.

From December 2007 until August 2010, he served as executive chairman and investor at Veroxity Technology Partners, an enterprise fiber provider in Boston. Sugarman also served as chairman and chief executive officer of Mid Maine Communications, a facilities-based telecommunications company he co-founded in 1994, until its sale in late 2006.

CIBL is a holding company with interests in broadband operations and trades on the OTC Pink market under the symbol CIBY.
