Avantor appoints Simon Dingemans to board of directors

Avantor Inc. (NYSE: AVTR) announced the appointment of Simon Dingemans to its board of directors, effective January 2, 2026, according to a company press release.



Dingemans brings experience as former chief financial officer of GlaxoSmithKline plc, a partner at Goldman Sachs, and a managing director at The Carlyle Group. He currently serves on the boards of Vodafone Group Plc and WPP plc.



"With Simon's breadth of experience guiding complex global organizations and his background in operational transformation, financial discipline and strategic execution, he is well suited to help advance the Avantor Revival plan," said Gregory Summe, incoming chairman of the Avantor board.



During his tenure at GlaxoSmithKline, Dingemans led business services and technology modernization programs and oversaw capital allocation and financial operations. At Goldman Sachs International, he managed UK investment banking and European mergers activity. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in geography from the University of Oxford.



Dingemans also serves as non-executive chair of Genomics LTD. The appointment is part of the board's efforts to support the company's operational improvements and strategic initiatives.



Avantor provides products and services to customers in the life sciences and advanced technology industries, serving more than 300,000 customer locations across 180 countries.
