Aquestive Therapeutics names Richard Daly to its board of directors

Aquestive Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: AQST) announced the appointment of Richard Daly to its board of directors, effective October 14, 2026, according to a company press release.

Daly brings more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having held senior roles at AstraZeneca, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, and Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He currently serves as President of Global Rare Disease at Angelini Pharma S.p.A., following Angelini's acquisition of Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Earlier roles included Executive Vice President, Americas at Takeda, where he directed the integration of TAP Pharmaceuticals into Takeda, and President of the U.S. Diabetes business at AstraZeneca, where he oversaw the launches of Farxiga and Myalept. He began his career at Abbott Laboratories.

Daly has also held leadership positions at several biotechnology companies, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Neuralstem, Inc., Chief Operating Officer of BeyondSpring Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and President of CARsgen Therapeutics Holdings Limited. He has served on the boards of Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Opiant Pharmaceuticals, Neuralstem, and Synergy Pharmaceuticals.

Following the appointment, Aquestive's board will consist of eight directors, seven of whom have been determined to be independent under Nasdaq listing standards.

Daniel Barber, President and Chief Executive Officer of Aquestive, cited Daly's commercial launch experience as relevant to the company's preparations for the potential launch of Anaphylm, a sublingual film for the treatment of Type I allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, pending FDA approval.
