Aecon appoints Jeff Lyash to board of directors

Aecon Group Inc. (TSX: ARE) announced the appointment of Jeff Lyash to its board of directors, effective immediately. Lyash will stand for election as a director at the company's annual general meeting on June 1, 2026.
Lyash brings four decades of experience in the nuclear and power industries, including more than 20 years in senior corporate executive roles. He previously served as president and chief executive officer at Tennessee Valley Authority and Ontario Power Generation, president of Chicago Bridge & Iron Power, and executive vice president of Energy Supply at Duke Energy and Progress Energy.
His career began at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where he held senior technical and management positions. Lyash currently serves on the board of directors for Dominion Energy Inc. and previously served on the board of Granite Construction.
John M. Beck, chairman of Aecon Group Inc., said Lyash's experience in the nuclear and power sectors aligns with Aecon's growth strategy and will enhance the board's expertise.
Lyash holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University, where he serves as a member of the board of trustees. He holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the NACD.DC designation from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Aecon operates as a North American construction and infrastructure development company, delivering services through its Construction segment in civil, urban transportation, nuclear, utility and industrial sectors, according to the company's press release.
