Adient names Peter Carlin as CFO, replacing Mark Oswald

Adient (NYSE: ADNT) announced that Peter Carlin will step down from its board of directors on Oct. 1, 2026, and join the company as vice president of finance before being appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer on Nov. 16, 2026.
Carlin's appointment coincides with the departure of Mark Oswald, who is leaving his role as executive vice president and CFO, also effective Nov. 16, 2026. Carlin has served on Adient's board since 2018.
Frederick A. Henderson, chair of Adient's board, credited Carlin with providing "valuable insights and counsel to the management team" during his tenure as a director.
Adient's board has also voted to reduce its size from eight to seven directors, effective upon Carlin's resignation on Oct. 1, 2026.
Adient, headquartered in Plymouth, Mich., produces automotive seating and employs more than 65,000 people across 29 countries, operating approximately 200 manufacturing and assembly plants worldwide.
