ANI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANIP) appointed Henry Gosebruch to its board of directors, effective August 19, 2026, according to a company statement.

Gosebruch currently serves as chief executive officer of Lakefront Biotherapeutics NV, formerly known as Galapagos NV, a position he has held since May 2025. Before that, he was president and chief executive officer of Neumora Therapeutics, Inc. from July 2023 to February 2025.

From 2015 to 2023, Gosebruch was executive vice president and chief strategy officer at AbbVie, where he oversaw corporate strategy, business development, and mergers and acquisitions. During that period, the group completed more than 100 transactions and investments, including AbbVie's acquisition of Allergan. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 20 years at J.P. Morgan, most recently as co-head of North American M&A.

Separately, the company announced that Muthusamy Shanmugam resigned from the board effective immediately. Shanmugam will continue in his executive role as ANI's head of research and development and chief operating officer of New Jersey operations.

Board chairman Thomas Haughey attributed the appointment to Gosebruch's background in corporate strategy and acquisitions, citing the company's stated focus on expanding its rare disease business through additional business development activity.
