AGI appoints Steve Sommerfeld to board of directors

Ag Growth International Inc. (TSX: AFN) appointed Steve Sommerfeld to its board of directors, effective immediately. Corrine Ricard resigned from the board to facilitate the appointment, according to a company statement.

Sommerfeld serves as chief financial officer of Tundra Oil & Gas Ltd., a subsidiary of James Richardson & Sons Limited. He previously worked as chief financial officer and executive vice president at AGI for 23 years until departing in 2020.

The new board member holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is a chartered professional accountant with more than 25 years of experience in financial and business operations across multiple industries. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan.

AGI manufactures equipment and solutions for food storage, transport, and processing. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, Brazil, India, France, and Italy, distributing products worldwide.
