Zoomd partners with Sharp Alpha on user acquisition financing deal
Zoomd Technologies Ltd. (TSXV: ZOMD, OTC: ZMDTF) has entered into a binding agreement with Sharp Alpha UA Fund I, LP, a $150 million fund focused on non-dilutive user acquisition financing for growth-stage digital businesses, according to a press release.
Under the arrangement, Zoomd will identify and introduce companies, including existing clients and others in its network, that may qualify for user acquisition financing through Sharp Alpha. The two parties will jointly evaluate financing opportunities intended to help qualifying companies scale their user acquisition activities.
Zoomd has committed to invest up to $1.0 million alongside the fund in financing transactions it originates and that Sharp Alpha approves. The commitment will be funded through capital calls over the fund's expected investment period of three to five years, drawn from the company's existing cash resources. As of the first quarter of 2026, Zoomd reported cash and cash equivalents of more than $22 million and an undrawn credit facility.
Zoomd's participation is limited to transactions it refers and will not include a majority position in any individual financing facility. The company will receive customary management fees on its committed capital and preferential carried interest terms on referred investments.
As part of the collaboration, Sharp Alpha intends to introduce Zoomd's services to companies within its portfolio and investment pipeline, creating potential additional commercial engagements for Zoomd in user acquisition and performance marketing.
Ido Almany, Chief Executive Officer of Zoomd, said the partnership "will allow us to leverage our industry expertise, user acquisition capabilities, and extensive market knowledge in a way that creates a new source of revenue alongside our core business."
Zoomd, established in 2012 and listed on the TSX Venture Exchange since September 2019, operates a mobile app user acquisition platform that integrates with global digital media outlets.
