Zillow Group Inc. (NASDAQ: Z and ZG) announced the launch of a real estate application within ChatGPT, making it the first real estate company to integrate with the AI platform. The app became available on October 6, 2025.
The integration allows ChatGPT users to search for housing listings, view property photos, maps and pricing information through conversational queries. Users can ask questions such as "What can I afford nearby?" or "Show me homes with a big backyard" to receive listings data.
The app displays property details including listing photos, pricing, broker and MLS attribution within the ChatGPT interface. Users are directed to Zillow's main platform for functions such as scheduling tours, connecting with agents or exploring financing options.
"Our goal is to make it feel simple, intuitive and approachable. Partnering with OpenAI puts Zillow at the forefront of generative AI adoption," said David Beitel, Zillow's chief technology officer.
The application supports multiple listing types including rentals and homes for sale by agents or owners. Zillow stated it plans to add new-construction listings and 3D tours to the ChatGPT integration over time.
The app uses Zillow's existing housing data and real-time listings database to provide information through the ChatGPT platform. The company described itself as an early partner in developing applications for ChatGPT.
