ZenaTech Inc. (NASDAQ: ZENA) announced that its ZenaDrone subsidiary has initiated the Green UAS certification application process for its ZenaDrone 1000 drone platform. The company said the certification aims to position the heavy-lift drone for potential inclusion in U.S. Department of Defense and government procurement pathways.
Green UAS certification is a compliance framework developed by AUVSI in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense. The certification ensures drones are free of components from foreign adversaries and meet standards for cybersecurity, data protection, and supply chain integrity.
"Initiating the Green UAS certification process for the ZenaDrone 1000 is a crucial step in expanding our U.S. defense and government engagement," said Shaun Passley, ZenaTech CEO. "Secure, NDAA-aligned drone systems are increasingly becoming a baseline requirement for federal procurement."
The ZenaDrone 1000 is designed as an AI-powered vertical takeoff and landing heavy-lift platform for defense applications. The drone offers intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities, along with cargo transport functions. Its modular design allows configuration for multiple mission types.
ZenaTech operates as a technology company specializing in AI drone solutions, Drone as a Service, enterprise software, and quantum computing solutions. The company serves business, government, and defense sectors through global offices in North America, Europe, Taiwan, and UAE.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
