Zai Lab forms oncology scientific advisory board

Zai Lab Limited (NASDAQ: ZLAB; HKEX: 9688) announced the establishment of an Oncology Scientific Advisory Board to support the development of its cancer treatment products and pipeline.



The newly formed advisory board includes eight oncology specialists from academic medical centers and research institutions. According to the company's press release, the board will provide guidance for Zai Lab's clinical programs, including internally developed investigational therapies.



"The formation of this Board is an important step for Zai; we know our clinical programs will benefit tremendously from the guidance and perspective of this highly regarded and experienced group of individuals," said Rafael G. Amado, President and Head of Global Research and Development at Zai Lab.



The advisory board members include Lieping Chen from Yale University School of Medicine, Richard S. Finn from UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, Thomas F. Gajewski from University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Melissa L. Johnson from Sarah Cannon Research Institute.



Additional members are Matthew Krebs from University of Manchester and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Patricia LoRusso from Yale Cancer Center, Michael T. Lotze from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Hillman Cancer Center, and Timothy Yap from University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.



Zai Lab is a biopharmaceutical company based in China and the United States that focuses on developing treatments for oncology, immunology, neuroscience, and infectious disease conditions.
