WeRide joins Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index

WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) has been included in the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index (NASDAQ: HXC), according to a company announcement. The autonomous driving technology company joins 82 other Chinese companies listed on U.S. exchanges in the market capitalization-weighted index.

The index includes companies such as Alibaba, JD.com, and NetEase. Investment funds that track the index will automatically include WeRide shares in their portfolios as part of the inclusion.

WeRide went public on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange on October 25, 2024. The company operates testing or commercial services across more than 30 cities in 11 countries and reported revenue of $17.8 million in the second quarter of 2025, representing a 60.8% increase year-over-year. Robotaxi revenue reached $6.4 million in the quarter, up 836.7% from the prior year period.

Recent business developments include a partnership with Grab announced September 22 to launch autonomous vehicle services in Singapore and receiving Belgium's first Level 4 autonomous driving test permit on September 19. The company launched a robotaxi pilot service in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July and expanded its partnership with Uber in May to bring robotaxis to 15 additional cities over five years.

WeRide holds autonomous driving permits in seven markets: China, Belgium, France, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index has reached its highest level since February 2022 over the past six months.
