WISeKey International Holding Ltd (NASDAQ: WKEY) announced that its subsidiary WISeSat.Space signed a memorandum of understanding with Spacetalk SA to develop a platform for global space traffic coordination.
The partnership combines Spacetalk's neutral digital platform for space traffic management with WISeSat's secure satellite communication technology. WISeSat will provide identity verification services through WISeKey's WISeID system to ensure authenticated access to the platform.
Spacetalk completed a pilot phase in October 2025 involving institutional, industrial and academic partners from Europe and Asia. Participants included the European Space Agency, Swiss Armed Forces, Chinese company Debris-X, and Indian partner OrbitArch. The pilot tested orbital data sharing, format conversion tools, and secure messaging systems.
The platform addresses challenges from increasing satellite congestion and space debris. It aims to facilitate collision prevention and information sharing among civil, commercial and military space actors through a voluntary participation model.
"After a very successful testing phase, we are extremely proud to launch Spacetalk with WISeSat and to open our platform to all global space traffic actors," said Dr. Benjamin Guyot, founder and CEO of Spacetalk.
Carlos Moreira, CEO of WISeKey, stated: "The Spacetalk pilot demonstrated the value of trusted, interoperable data-sharing for operational space safety."
Spacetalk SA was founded in 2023 in Lausanne, Switzerland. WISeSat.Space focuses on secure satellite connectivity and space-based Internet of Things services as part of WISeKey's technology portfolio.
