WISeKey subsidiaries present satellite quantum security program in Paris

WISeKey International Holding Ltd (NASDAQ: WKEY) announced that its subsidiaries SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) and WISeSat.Space presented their Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud (QSOC) initiative at the International Space Summit in Paris on Sept. 9 and 10, 2026.

The QSOC program, first announced in March 2026, is designed to combine WISeSat's satellite constellation with SEALSQ's post-quantum semiconductors, Public Key Infrastructure, quantum random-number generation and identity-management technologies. The initiative plans to deploy up to 100 satellites through 2033.

The platform is intended to deliver post-quantum secured satellite communications, quantum random number generation from orbit, post-quantum identity and device-authentication services, and secure key provisioning to governments, defense organizations, financial institutions and critical-infrastructure operators.

Under the planned structure, SEALSQ would operate the security and cloud-services layer, while WISeSat would own and operate the satellite constellation, ground segment and mission control systems. This arrangement is intended to allow SEALSQ to offer subscription-based security services without bearing the full capital cost of the satellite infrastructure.

Carlos Moreira, Chairman and CEO of SEALSQ, said in a statement: "Presenting QSOC at the International Space Summit in Paris demonstrates that post-quantum security and sovereign satellite infrastructure must now be addressed as a single strategic priority."

The companies noted that deployment of the constellation remains subject to technical validation, regulatory authorizations, launch availability, financing, commercial agreements and final corporate approvals.
