Veeva and BioMarin announce long-term enterprise agreement

Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV) and BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ: BMRN) announced a long-term enterprise agreement that expands their existing relationship, according to a press release statement.
The partnership aims to help BioMarin increase operational efficiency and optimize healthcare professional and patient experiences through Veeva's software, data, services, and consulting products.
"This strategic partnership marks an important next step in our digital evolution," said Alexander Hardy, President and Chief Executive Officer of BioMarin. "We are excited by the opportunity to combine our scientific capabilities with Veeva's technological leadership that we believe will enable us to bring our transformative medicines more quickly to patients around the world."
Veeva CEO Peter Gassner said the partnership has been "guided by a shared set of values, including product excellence, value realization, and customer success."
BioMarin is a biotechnology company focused on rare disease treatments, with eight commercial therapies and a clinical and preclinical pipeline. The San Rafael, California-based company was founded in 1997.
Veeva provides cloud-based software and services to the life sciences industry, serving more than 1,500 customers ranging from large biopharmaceutical companies to emerging biotechs. The company operates as a Public Benefit Corporation.
