VERSES AI names former AWS executive David Scott to board

VERSES AI Inc. (CBOE: VERS) (OTCQB: VRSSF) appointed David T. Scott, former Head of Global Marketing Strategy, Analytics, and Operations at Amazon Web Services, to its board of directors. Scott replaces G. Scott Paterson, who stepped down from the board effective September 30, 2025.



Scott brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across global enterprises and high-growth startups. During his tenure at AWS, he oversaw operations for a 3,500-person marketing team and led strategic growth initiatives. His career includes senior roles at Twitter, AT&T, PeopleSoft, Honeywell, and General Electric.



The executive currently serves on the board of marketing platform Marigold and has held positions on several nonprofit and industry boards. Scott has authored two HarperCollins books on marketing strategy and teaches digital marketing at San Diego State University. He also serves as a guest lecturer at University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.



"His expertise in scaling global marketing and sales operations will help provide important support for VERSES' ongoing commercial growth," said Gabriel René, founder and CEO of VERSES, according to a company statement.



Scott earned dual bachelor's degrees from The College of William & Mary and an MBA with distinction from the Wharton School.



VERSES AI describes itself as a cognitive computing company that develops software systems for enterprise intelligence applications. The Vancouver-based company's flagship product is called Genius, which the company characterizes as an enterprise intelligence platform.
