United Airlines (NASDAQ: UAL) and Instacart (NASDAQ: CART) announced a collaboration that provides United MileagePlus loyalty members with $0 delivery fees on grocery orders placed around domestic flights and opportunities to earn bonus miles.

The partnership allows MileagePlus members who book domestic U.S. United flights to receive seven days of $0 delivery fees on Instacart orders of $10 or more when they activate the offer. The benefit applies to orders placed before, during, or after their flights.

New Instacart users who are MileagePlus members can earn 5,000 bonus miles by completing four grocery orders of $35 or more within eight weeks. Members with existing Instacart accounts receive 500 miles when they link their accounts and place a qualifying order within 60 days.

Additional rewards include 5,000 miles for MileagePlus members who enroll in an annual Instacart+ membership and maintain it for at least 30 days after completing the initial offer.

"This Instacart collaboration gives members the peace of mind to know they can add groceries and other essentials at just about any stage of their trip," said Richard Nunn, CEO of United MileagePlus.

Ryan Hamburger, Vice President of Commercial Partnerships for Instacart, stated the partnership makes convenience "even more rewarding for United MileagePlus members."

Instacart will also work with United's Kinective Media advertising platform to reach MileagePlus members through the United app, in-flight entertainment, and other channels during their travel journey.

The collaboration builds on an existing relationship between the companies, which earlier this year included Instacart benefits for eligible Chase United credit cardholders. Members can enroll in the program at Instacart.com/United.
