UberDoc partners with XY.AI Labs to expand physician AI access
UberDoc Health Technologies Corp. (CSE: APPT | FSE: 4KL0) announced a partnership with XY.AI Labs to connect independent medical practices with AI-driven operational tools and direct-pay healthcare services.
The agreement allows XY.AI Labs to introduce UberDoc's direct-pay specialist marketplace to physicians in its network as an alternative revenue source to insurance-dependent payments. UberDoc will connect its network of more than 5,000 specialists across all 50 states with XY.AI Labs' platform of AI agents designed for healthcare operations.
XY.AI Labs' platform automates practice workflows including scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorization, medical coding, and billing support. UberDoc operates a marketplace connecting patients with specialists without insurance barriers or referral requirements.
According to the companies, physician adoption of AI increased from 38% in 2023 to 81% in 2026, with 37% of physicians reporting daily AI use in a Doximity study of more than 3,000 physicians across 15 specialties. However, 92% of physicians want additional education and training before making AI implementation decisions.
"The physicians on our platform are asking the same question as everyone else in healthcare right now: how do I use AI without getting it wrong? Our partnership with XY.AI Labs gives them a real answer," said Sean Kearney, Chief Executive Officer of UberDoc.
Sam De Brouwer, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of XY.AI Labs, stated that the partnership provides physicians "a trusted, physician-first resource as they take those next steps" in AI integration.
The partnership targets independent and small-group practices, which the companies say lack the infrastructure resources available to large health systems. The collaboration is effective immediately, according to the press release.
