Trip.com Group faces Chinese anti-monopoly investigation

Trip.com Group Limited (NASDAQ: TCOM) announced it received a notice of investigation from China's State Administration for Market Regulation. The Chinese regulator has commenced an investigation involving the travel services company under the Anti-Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China.

The company stated it will actively cooperate with the investigation and that its business operations remain normal. Trip.com Group operates as a travel platform offering accommodation reservations, transportation ticketing, packaged tours, and corporate travel management services.

The company trades on both the Nasdaq under ticker TCOM and the Hong Kong Exchange under ticker 9961. Trip.com Group operates multiple brands including Ctrip, Qunar, Trip.com, and Skyscanner.

The announcement was made through a press release statement but did not provide additional details about the scope or timeline of the investigation.
