Thumzup Media plans name change to Datacentrex following acquisition
Thumzup Media Corporation (NASDAQ: TZUP) announced plans to change its corporate name to Datacentrex, Inc. following the completion of its pending acquisition of Dogehash. The company has reserved the ticker symbol "DTCX" with Nasdaq for the anticipated name and symbol change.
The name change reflects the company's strategic shift toward digital infrastructure, blockchain and data-center opportunities. Chief Executive Officer Robert Steele stated the company is positioned with approximately $50 million in cash and the pending Dogehash acquisition to acquire additional cash flow positive technology businesses.
The acquisition of Dogehash requires approval from Thumzup stockholders, Nasdaq approval and other customary closing conditions. Thumzup has filed a definitive proxy statement and supplement with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the proposed acquisition.
Thumzup describes itself as transitioning from social media marketing to sectors including digital-asset infrastructure, data-center operations, quantum-computing-adjacent technologies, real-world-asset tokenization and artificial intelligence. The company states it is pursuing investments, partnerships and acquisitions in these areas.
The closing of the acquisition is subject to stockholder approval based on a record date of October 28, 2025. Stockholders can access proxy materials and related documents through the SEC's website or the investor relations section of Thumzup's website.
