TP renews UNICEF partnership for education programs in four countries
TP Group, the digital services company formerly known as Teleperformance, has renewed its partnership with UNICEF for three years to support education programs in Brazil, Ghana, India and the Philippines, as well as humanitarian crisis response efforts globally.
The partnership will focus on creating learning environments with water and sanitation facilities, teacher training, and providing school supplies for students in need, according to a company statement.
"This partnership will help provide lifesaving assistance to children in humanitarian crises, while also supporting the provision of quality education, to promote a safe, resilient, and peaceful future for children, their families and communities," said Carla Haddad, UNICEF Director Private Fundraising and Partnerships.
TP's financial support is part of its Citizen of the World program, through which the company has donated €80 million to help underprivileged people and natural disaster victims since 2006.
The companies began their partnership in 2022. During the initial three-year period, the collaboration provided educational assistance to 4.7 million children in India and the Philippines, and delivered humanitarian assistance to more than 125,000 vulnerable children and families across eight countries including Ukraine, Syria, Turkey, Nigeria and Sudan.
"Being a partner with UNICEF allows us to increase the impact of our actions in favor of education for the most disadvantaged, and to mobilize the entire company around projects that have meaning," said Daniel Julien, CEO of TP Group.
TP operates in close to 100 countries and provides digital business services including customer care, back-office functions, and specialized services such as collections and interpreting.
