SurgePays Inc. (NASDAQ: SURG) announced the launch of its Growth Marketing and Data Partnerships Division, aimed at converting its consumer data ecosystem into revenue streams. The Memphis-based wireless and fintech company appointed James Herber as Vice President of Growth Marketing and Data Partnerships to lead the new division.

The division will focus on monetizing data from SurgePays' wireless brands, including Torch Wireless and LinkUp Mobile. Herber will oversee the commercialization of DigitizeIQ, a software platform previously used by the company's legacy subsidiary LogicsIQ for lead generation serving mass tort law firms.

"Our development team has now transformed DigitizeIQ, which generated more than $50 million in revenue, into a powerful intake engine built specifically for underserved consumer marketing," said Brian Cox, CEO of SurgePays.

The company plans to use the platform to present targeted products and services to consumers while they sign up for government-subsidized wireless services like Lifeline. According to Cox, the goal is to reduce customer acquisition costs by generating additional revenue through complementary services.

Herber stated the division aims to become one of the company's largest revenue drivers within 12 to 18 months. The company expects to generate recurring revenue through data partnerships, analytics integrations, and targeted marketing programs.

SurgePays operates wireless brands and a point-of-sale platform deployed in retail locations nationwide, enabling SIM activations and digital financial transactions for underserved communities.
