SunCar extends partnership with NIO for auto insurance services

SunCar Technology Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SDA) announced it has entered a new phase of strategic cooperation with electric vehicle manufacturer NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO), according to a company statement.

The partnership, which began in 2020, focuses on providing auto insurance services to NIO vehicle owners in China. SunCar upgraded its Anji Cloud Service Center at the end of 2023 to offer more detailed and customized auto insurance services.

The expanded cooperation coincides with NIO's launch of the ES8 and ONVO L90 models, which feature intelligent driving capabilities, fast charging, and technology features. SunCar will continue providing auto insurance solutions for owners of these vehicles.

SunCar operates cloud-based platforms that connect drivers with auto services and insurance options through a network of sales partners in China. The company uses artificial intelligence and big data analytics to develop insurance solutions.

Founded in 2007, SunCar provides auto insurance and services in China's passenger vehicle market. The company's platform allows enterprise customers to access and manage auto insurance and service offerings.
