Neostellar Capital Corp. (Nasdaq: NSLR), formerly SuRo Capital Corp., has launched as a rebranded publicly traded investment platform following its transition to an externally managed structure, the company announced July 21, 2026.
The company has formed a joint venture investment manager, Neostellar Advisors LLC, owned by former SuRo Capital executives and Magnetar, an alternative investment manager with approximately $18 billion in assets under management as of January 1, 2026. The new advisory agreement became effective July 15, 2026.
In connection with the launch, a Magnetar affiliate made a $20 million investment in Neostellar. Erik Falk, Partner and Head of Strategy at Magnetar, has joined Neostellar's Board of Directors.
The company continues to trade on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under its new ticker symbol "NSLR," replacing the former ticker "SSSS." Mark D. Klein remains Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Allison Green continues as Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Corporate Secretary.
"For more than 15 years, our objective has been to provide public market investors with access to the world's most innovative and consequential privately held companies during the period when meaningful value creation is taking place," said Klein.
Dave Snyderman, Managing Partner at Magnetar, said the firms have co-invested over the years. "Neostellar represents an ideal structure for this moment — a fifteen-year publicly traded venture franchise now combined with Magnetar's institutional sourcing and underwriting," Snyderman said.
Neostellar Advisors LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. The company is headquartered in New York and maintains an office in San Francisco.
