Siemens Digital Industries Software announced the Questa One Agentic Toolkit, introducing artificial intelligence workflows to its verification software for integrated circuit design. The company stated the toolkit operates through early access program availability.

The toolkit integrates with Siemens' Fuse EDA AI system and includes five AI agents: RTL Code Agent for generating synthesizable code, Lint Agent for design error checking, CDC Agent for clock domain crossing verification, Verification Planning Agent for automated verification plans, and Debug Agent for failure analysis.

According to the company, the system uses NVIDIA Llama Nemotron and NVIDIA NIM technologies. The toolkit works with coding applications including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, and Cline, while maintaining compatibility with existing frameworks.

"The productivity gains delivered by the Questa One Agentic Toolkit were both immediate and significant," said Akshay Aggarwal, senior director of Engineering at MediaTek. "Our engineers were able to become proficient within hours, despite limited prior exposure to the tool."

Tim Costa, general manager of Industrial and Computational Engineering at NVIDIA, stated that the partnership leverages NVIDIA NIM and Nemotron models to provide AI-driven workflows for electronic system development.

Shalesh Thusoo, founder and CEO of Tsavorite Scalable Intelligence, reported the toolkit enabled quick adoption of formal property verification and automated issue resolution through the Lint Agent.

Siemens reported fiscal 2024 revenue of €75.9 billion and net income of €9.0 billion, ending September 30, 2024. The company employed approximately 312,000 people worldwide as of that date.
