Siebert Financial partners with tZERO for digital securities access

Siebert Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: SIEB), through its broker-dealer subsidiary Muriel Siebert & Co. LLC, has announced a partnership with tZERO Group, Inc. to provide eligible tokenized securities and blockchain-based financial products to Siebert clients, according to a company press release.

The agreement allows Muriel Siebert & Co. to introduce customer accounts to tZERO for correspondent clearing and custody of digital asset securities. Siebert's approximately 170,000 account holders will gain access to eligible tokenized securities through tZERO's regulated infrastructure, which covers onboarding, compliance, issuance, custody, trading, clearing, settlement, and lifecycle management.

tZERO's platform includes secondary market infrastructure through the tZERO Securities alternative trading system, KYC and AML compliance tools, transfer agent services, and tokenization capabilities.

"Tokenized securities represent an important evolution in how investors and issuers can connect," said John J. Gebbia, CEO of Siebert Financial. "Our relationship with tZERO gives us the infrastructure to enter this market while building for where financial markets are headed."

The companies cited an initial application of the partnership: a collaboration with Streamex Corp. (NASDAQ: STEX) to support investor access to GLDY, a gold-backed tokenized security offered by Streamex. The product is available to eligible accredited and institutional investors through Siebert's distribution channels, with custody and digital securities infrastructure provided by tZERO. The GLDY token is being offered under Rule 506(c) of Regulation D.

"Traditional financial institutions increasingly recognize that tokenized securities require more than blockchain technology," said Alan Konevsky, CEO of tZERO. "They require turnkey regulated market infrastructure."

Under the arrangement, Siebert clients can access eligible digital securities through their existing brokerage relationship without managing private keys or maintaining separate digital asset accounts.
