SEKISUI CHEMICAL partners with Fujitsu and SAP for system modernization
SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (TSE: 4204), Fujitsu Limited (TSE: 6702), and SAP Japan Co., Ltd. announced a comprehensive modernization of SEKISUI CHEMICAL's management platform using SAP S/4HANA Cloud as the core system.
The project began in April 2025 with accounting systems and will expand to approximately 100 SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group companies worldwide. The implementation aims to centralize administration and data management across the chemical company's global operations while standardizing platforms for sales, purchasing, and accounting functions.
SEKISUI CHEMICAL launched this modernization effort as part of a global management transformation project that started in 2021. The initiative represents the company's broader digital transformation strategy to enhance corporate value in an uncertain business environment.
Fujitsu is providing implementation support using its proprietary methodology developed over 40 years as a global SAP partner. The technology company is utilizing its Japan Global Gateway and Global Delivery Center in India to support the system modernization process.
SAP Japan will contribute Japanese and global insights, case studies, and solutions to support the project. The collaboration involves implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning system, along with SAP Business Technology Platform for development, automation, integration, and analytics capabilities.
SEKISUI CHEMICAL operates through 26,000 employees across more than 155 companies in 20 countries and regions. The company holds market positions in interlayer film, foam products, and conductive particles across its three business divisions.
The information is based on a press release statement from the three companies.
