SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced new artificial intelligence capabilities and partnerships at SAP TechEd 2025 in Berlin. The company introduced enhancements to its SAP Build development platform and formed a collaboration with Snowflake to expand data integration options for developers.

The SAP Build solution now includes local Model Context Protocol Servers that allow developers to use agentic development tools like Cursor and Claude Code with SAP frameworks. A new Visual Studio Code extension will provide direct access to SAP Build capabilities within that development environment.

SAP unveiled its first enterprise relational foundation model, SAP-RPT-1, designed to predict business outcomes such as delivery delays and payment risks rather than generating text. The company launched a free playground environment for developers to test this technology.

The partnership with Snowflake introduces a solution extension for SAP Business Data Cloud that brings Snowflake's data and AI capabilities to SAP customers. This addition joins existing integrations with Databricks and Google Cloud, expanding developer options for working with SAP data.

"SAP's announcements today give developers the tools they need to deliver at the speed of AI," said Muhammad Alam, member of the Executive Board of SAP SE.

New features in SAP Business Data Cloud include a data product studio capability for converting raw data into ready-to-use assets and expanded knowledge graph functionality in SAP HANA Cloud that automatically maps relationships across database tables.

SAP also announced plans to train 12 million people worldwide with AI-ready skills by 2030 through expanded certification programs, including a partnership with online learning platform Coursera.

The company introduced new AI assistants in its Joule platform that coordinate multiple agents across business workflows and departments, including a business process analysis agent for technical users.
