RxSight appoints Raymond Cohen to board of directors

RxSight, Inc. (NASDAQ: RXST) announced the appointment of Raymond W. Cohen to its board of directors. The Aliso Viejo, California-based ophthalmic medical device company specializes in customized vision solutions for cataract surgery patients.



Cohen brings over four decades of medical technology industry experience to RxSight. He co-founded and served as chief executive officer of Axonics, Inc. (NASDAQ: AXNX), which completed its initial public offering in 2018 and was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2024 for $3.7 billion. Under Cohen's leadership, Axonics generated over $1 billion in revenue within four years of commercial launch.



In March 2025, Cohen led the sale of SoniVie, Ltd., where he served as chairman, to Boston Scientific for $600 million, according to the company statement.



"Ray's extensive track record in leading and scaling medical technology companies will be invaluable as we advance our strategy and enter the next phase of growth," said J. Andy Corley, chairman of RxSight's board.



Cohen currently serves on boards of several healthcare companies, including Kestra Medical Technologies (NASDAQ: KMTS) and InspireMD (NASDAQ: NSPR). He also holds board positions with privately-held companies Nalu Medical, Archimedes Vascular, Tulavi Medical, and Spectrum Vascular. Additionally, Cohen serves as a venture partner with Andera Partners and Sherpa Capital Partners.



RxSight manufactures the Light Adjustable Lens system, which the company describes as the first commercially available intraocular lens technology that can be adjusted after cataract surgery. The system includes the Light Adjustable Lens, Light Delivery Device, and accessories.
