Rakuten Advertising launches AI agent for affiliate campaign management

Rakuten Advertising launched Mirai, an AI agent designed to streamline affiliate campaign management for advertisers. The conversational AI tool enables users to build and manage affiliate offers through natural language interactions.

The platform automates commission structure configuration and reduces manual technical processes previously required for affiliate program management. Mirai processes business objectives to recommend commission structures and generates code autonomously in real time.

The AI agent handles three primary functions: analyzing business objectives for commission recommendations, enabling autonomous code generation without manual intervention, and processing natural language requests to automate promotional details including holiday campaigns.

"Mirai is years of investment in AI made real, and it gives advertisers something the industry has not had before: a product that applies strategic intelligence to the everyday work of managing affiliate programs," said Adam Rostan, Chief Product Officer at Rakuten Advertising.

The company stated it plans to expand Mirai's capabilities to cover partner identification, recruitment, performance optimization and reporting functions. Affiliate offer creation and management features are currently available, with additional capabilities to be announced in coming months.
