Quarterhill wins $5.25M Oklahoma DOT contract for I-35 weigh station

Quarterhill Inc. (TSX: QTRH) (OTCQX: QTRHF) has been awarded a $5.25 million contract with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to deploy commercial vehicle screening technology at an existing weigh station along Interstate 35, according to a company statement.

Work is scheduled to begin in August 2026. The project includes installation of Mainline and Ramp Sorter Systems, Weigh-In-Motion, Electronic Screening, Tire Anomaly Classification System technology, and Dimensioning capabilities at the Interstate 35 site.

"The project is representative of ODOT's continued investment in modernizing critical transportation infrastructure and the agency's confidence in our technology and expertise as a longstanding ITS partner," said Chuck Myers, CEO of Quarterhill.

Mitch Surrett, Deputy General Counsel at ODOT, said the project will help the agency manage growing freight traffic and improve operational efficiency.

The contract expands an existing relationship between Quarterhill and ODOT. The company has also recently announced transportation projects with agencies in Illinois, Utah, Indiana, California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
