QBE North America names Jayne Cunningham environmental underwriting head

QBE North America appointed Jayne Cunningham as senior vice president and environmental underwriting leader, the company announced September 29. Cunningham will report to Dan Fortin, president of specialty insurance.

Based in North Carolina, Cunningham brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, including over 20 years in environmental leadership roles. She previously held positions at Beazley, XL Capital, Zurich and AIG.

"We're excited to welcome Jayne to QBE as we advance the development of our new Environmental specialty business," Fortin said. "Jayne's leadership experience and deep underwriting expertise will serve QBE, customers and brokers well as we execute the Environmental business strategy across the North American market."

QBE North America is part of QBE Insurance Group Limited and reported gross written premiums of $7.3 billion in 2024, according to the press release. The North America division is headquartered in New York and operates as part of the global QBE Insurance Group, which is based in Sydney, Australia, and operates in 26 countries.
