Onterris (NYSE: ONT) has been awarded a multi-year contract valued at approximately A$6 million by an international mining company to deliver environmental services for a mining operation in Queensland, Australia, according to a press release.
Under the contract, Onterris will act as regulatory liaison and provide project management, scope gap assessment, technical study coordination, and preparation and submission of an Environmental Impact Statement. The work includes coordination with regulatory agencies and support for submission to the Office of the Coordinator-General.
The contract supports the approvals pathway for a mining operation in Queensland, where the company said it has more than 25 years of experience supporting major projects.
"This project demonstrates how rigorous environmental assessment, regulatory clarity and practical stewardship can support the resources and infrastructure that communities and economies continue to rely on," said Vijay Manthripragada, Chief Executive Officer of Onterris.
Mark Breitfuss, Global Mining Market Sector Lead, said the project will involve Onterris teams across Australia, the United States, and Canada to develop technical assessments and prepare a regulatory submission.
Onterris is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, and describes itself as a global environmental solutions company.
