NanoXplore Inc. (TSX: GRA) announced that Chief Executive Officer Soroush Nazarpour will step down from his role at the company's annual general meeting in December 2025. Nazarpour, who founded the graphene manufacturer, will remain on the board as Vice Chairman and continue as a special advisor.
Current Chief Operating Officer Rocco Marinaccio will succeed Nazarpour as CEO. Marinaccio has worked at NanoXplore for almost seven years and brings more than 26 years of leadership experience in manufacturing and sales operations.
As COO, Marinaccio oversees production, sales, engineering, purchasing, logistics and continuous improvement initiatives across the company's operations. He previously spent over 20 years at Martinrea International, where he held senior positions including Vice President of the Flexible Manufacturing Group.
"With the current five-year plan on track and prospects for graphene sales in the best shape since the Corporation's inception, this is the ideal time to embark on a CEO transition phase," said Joseph G. Peter, Lead Director of the Board, according to the company's statement.
Nazarpour stated he looks forward to supporting Marinaccio and the board in the company's next chapter. Marinaccio said he was honored to lead the company going forward and sees potential for growth in graphene products.
NanoXplore manufactures graphene powder for transportation and industrial markets and produces graphene-enhanced plastic and composite products. The Montreal-based company also makes silicon-graphene-enhanced lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and grid storage, with manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States and Europe.
