Namib Minerals advances mill expansion at How Mine facility
Namib Minerals (NASDAQ: NAMM) reported progress on its Mill Expansion Project at How Mine, with civil works at an advanced stage. The company completed the raft foundation, mill plinth and tower foundations for the facility.
Principal mechanical components have been delivered to the site, including the mill shell. Factory acceptance tests for the project transformer and starter have been completed, according to the company's operational update.
Civil, mechanical and electrical installation works are currently underway at the site. Engineering, procurement and contractor management activities continue across the project workstreams.
The company maintains its timeline to complete construction and commissioning in the second half of 2026. The Mill Expansion Project represents a component of Namib Minerals' strategy to expand processing capacity and increase gold output at How Mine, which the company describes as its flagship asset.
Namib Minerals stated it will provide additional updates as project milestones are achieved. The information was disclosed in a press release statement from the company.
