Molson Coors names Rahul Goyal as CEO effective October 2025
Molson Coors Beverage Company (NYSE: TAP, TAP.A) announced that its board of directors has appointed Rahul Goyal as president and chief executive officer, effective October 1, 2025. Goyal, currently the company's chief strategy officer, will succeed Gavin Hattersley and join the board of directors.
Hattersley will remain in an advisory role through the end of 2025 to facilitate the transition. The board's decision followed what it described as an extensive succession process that evaluated both internal and external candidates.
Goyal has worked at Molson Coors for 24 years, holding executive positions across information technology, finance and strategy. He began his career at Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colorado, and has served in global leadership roles including chief information officer for Molson Coors in the UK and chief financial officer for Molson Coors in India.
As chief strategy officer, Goyal has overseen partnerships with The Coca-Cola Company and Fever-Tree, and led acquisitions including ZOA and Naked Life. He also managed commercial operations of Coors Distributing Company and played a role in managing The Yuengling Company, Molson Coors' joint venture with D.G. Yuengling and Son.
"After conducting an extensive and thorough CEO succession process that included evaluating internal and external candidates, it was clear that Rahul brought the right experience and vision that we believe is needed to drive the next phase of growth for Molson Coors," said Board Chair David Coors.
Hattersley has served as president and CEO for more than six years. The company stated that during his tenure, he accelerated business growth and built company culture.
