Metalpha, Exos Financial and BlockchainK2 form digital asset venture
Metalpha Technology Holding Limited (NASDAQ: MATH), Exos Financial LLC and BlockchainK2 Corp. (TSXV: BITK) signed a memorandum of understanding to form a joint venture targeting the U.S. institutional digital asset market, according to a press release statement.
The proposed joint venture aims to deliver compliant digital asset solutions to U.S.-based institutional clients through three core services: OTC derivatives and hedging solutions for institutions and miners, digital asset investment strategies including crypto relative value, and securities-linked transactions providing digital asset exposure.
Metalpha provides blockchain and trading technology solutions, while Exos Financial operates as a technology-driven boutique financial services platform established by former Credit Suisse CEO Brady Dougan. BlockchainK2 contributes technology platforms for tokenization and fund distribution through its portfolio interests.
"This partnership represents a significant milestone in Metalpha's global expansion strategy," said Adrian Wang, CEO of Metalpha. "By joining forces with Exos and BlockchainK2, we are positioning ourselves to enter the critical US market with a fully compliant, institutional-grade offering."
Brady Dougan, Founder and CEO of Exos Financial, stated the partnership would extend their institutional platform into the digital asset space. Sergei Stetsenko, CEO of BlockchainK2, described the venture as designed to address pain points for U.S. institutions seeking digital asset exposure.
The companies did not disclose financial terms or a timeline for the joint venture's establishment in the announcement.
