Mobileye Global Inc. (NASDAQ: MBLY) announced that Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has selected its SuperVision and Surround ADAS systems for at least six upcoming vehicle models, with production expected to begin in 2027.
The systems will be powered by Mobileye's EyeQ6 High system-on-chip technology. Mobileye will serve as the Tier 1 supplier across the programs, providing integrated solutions that include perception, driving functions, driver monitoring systems, and advanced parking features on a single electronic control unit.
The SuperVision system uses 11 cameras and optional radars powered by two EyeQ6H system-on-chips. It is designed to enable point-to-point navigate-on-pilot capabilities, advanced parking features, and driver monitoring system functionalities in designated areas and conditions.
The Surround ADAS system operates with five cameras and multiple radars, powered by a single EyeQ6H chip. This system is designed to enable hands-off, eyes-on highway driving in specified conditions, along with advanced parking features and driver monitoring systems.
According to the press release, India represents the world's third-largest automotive market by sales. The country has experienced growing ADAS adoption driven by consumer demand for enhanced safety and new regulatory standards, including the Bharat New Car Assessment Program.
"This nomination demonstrates Mahindra's commitment to advanced safety technologies and strengthens Mobileye's long-term investment in India as a strategic hub for ADAS localization and production," said Amnon Shashua, President and CEO of Mobileye.
The collaboration between the companies began several years ago with EyeQ4M and EyeQ6L launches. Mobileye states that through 2025, approximately 230 million vehicles worldwide have been built with its EyeQ technology.
