Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) announced an expanded strategic alliance with Broadcom to deliver consulting services for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), targeting private and hybrid cloud environments for enterprise customers.

As part of the expanded collaboration, the two companies plan to certify several thousand Kyndryl consultants, architects, and delivery specialists in VCF skills to support agentic AI workflows. Kyndryl said it will apply its Agentic AI Framework to help customers manage AI governance across VCF environments, using policy-as-code capabilities to keep automated agents within defined business and regulatory guardrails.

The partnership covers end-to-end VCF and VMware Tanzu transformation services, including advisory, architecture, modernization, and Day-2 operations across virtualized and containerized workloads. Kyndryl also said its cyber recovery capability, built on VCF isolated recovery environments using VMware vDefend, immutable snapshots, and orchestrated runbooks, is part of the expanded offering.

"By expanding our partnership with Broadcom and investing in VCF skills, we will help customers build modern, resilient, private clouds that enable AI adoption, support data modernization, address the risk of AI-identified vulnerabilities and deliver real business value," said Giovanni Carraro, Global Strategic Alliances Leader at Kyndryl.

Regan McGrath, President of Americas at Broadcom, said Kyndryl's global delivery capabilities and certified talent provide enterprises with the foundation to drive agility and scale AI-driven innovation using VMware Cloud Foundation.

Kyndryl holds Pinnacle Partner status in the Broadcom Advantage Partner Program and was named Broadcom Mainframe Partner of the Year 2025 in South America and Finland, according to the press release.
